Major preparation paths
If you aren't sure which UC campus you wish to attend — or just want to prepare for as many campuses as possible — it's important to take the right steps now to enhance your chances of being accepted later. That means understanding what requirements you have to fulfill to transfer into a major at a UC campus.
Most transfer students take one of two major preparation paths:

On this route, you take coursework that will prepare you for multiple UC campuses. - Transfer path by campus
Here you identify required coursework for a specific major at a specific campus.
What is a major?
A major is a specialized field of undergraduate study. Your choice of major determines how you will spend the majority of your academic time and energy.
