Scholarship Opportunities
Each University campus and some campus alumni associations award scholarships to students in recognition of achievement and potential.
There are many different types of
scholarships — including the Universitywide
Regents Scholarship program and campus-based scholarships
such as Alumni Scholarships and Chancellor's Scholarships.
Specific information about requirements
and deadlines is provided by each campus. There are also
restricted scholarships for students with specific
backgrounds, academic interests or career objectives. At
most campuses, students are eligible to receive more than
one award.
Applying for Scholarships
When you apply for admission, you are also applying for scholarships. Some of these applications are automatic, basing their decisions on information in your application. Others, however, require you to submit additional documentation; if so, that fact is noted in the scholarship listing.
Honorary and Need-Based Scholarships
For honorary scholarships, financial need is not considered in determining eligibility or award amounts. Even those students not eligible for need-based scholarships can get these awards.
Award amounts for need-based scholarships vary according to financial need. If you wish to be considered for need-based scholarships, you must apply for financial aid.
