and Chancellor's Achievement Scholarships
Notification of
Awards
• Freshman Applicants: Award notification begins in March.
• Transfer Applicants: Award notification begins in April.
Academic Criteria
Comprehensive review of the applicant pool will be conducted to
determine the student's strength and breadth of academic preparation.
Official test scores and grades are considered.
Other Criteria
• All Applicants: Must be
a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or have official refugee status.
• Transfer Applicants: Scholarships available to fall-quarter transfer applicants only. Must enter UCI as a junior transfer student from a California community college.

Applicants will be notified if documentation is required.

Alumni
Scholarships
These scholarships are not based on financial
need. Applicants need not be affiliated with any UC Irvine alumnus
to apply.
Notification of
Awards
• All Applicants: Award
recipients will be announced in early August.
Academic Criteria
• Freshman Applicants: Requires
a minimum GPA of 3.65 and either a minimum SAT Reasoning Test score total of 1950 or an ACT
Assessment plus Writing composite score of 29.
• Transfer Applicants: Requires
a minimum GPA of 3.2 and the equivalent of 90 transferable quarter
units.
Other Criteria
Admitted students must submit a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to UC Irvine in order to be considered for this award.
Academic excellence, leadership potential and diversity of background.
Supporting Documentation
Aadmitted students who submit their SIR to UC Irvine and who meet the qualifications and criteria stated for UCI Alumni Association Scholarships will receive an invitation to participate in the UCI Alumni Association scholarship process. Eligible students will be notified by a personal e-mail that will include the application and information about the selection process. Freshman notification and process begins May 19, 2008. Transfer student notification and process begins June 16, 2008.

Academic excellence and promise. Students must meet criteria for individual restricted scholarships. In most cases, must be eligible
for financial aid.
