Timothy P. White
Regents name UC Riverside chancellor
Timothy P. White, president of the University of Idaho, will become UC Riverside’s eighth chancellor. He will begin his duties on or before Sept. 1.
From 1991 to 1996,White served as a professor and then chair of the Department of Human Biodynamics at UC Berkeley. He has held academic positions at the University of Michigan and Oregon State University.
His academic background is in physiology, kinesiology and human biodynamics, and he is internationally known for his expertise in muscle plasticity, injury and aging. White succeeds former Chancellor France Cordova, who is now president of Purdue University. Robert Grey has been serving as acting UC Riverside chancellor.
