Breast cancer clinical trials service launched
UC San Francisco has created a free service that matches people diagnosed or at risk for breast cancer with nationwide clinical trials.
The UCSF Center of Excellence for Breast Cancer Care created BreastCancerTrials.org to encourage patients to consider participating in research studies and to increase access to those trials.
This is the first service of its kind dedicated exclusively to breast cancer. Users enter their health history into the secure site, which matches them with trials that fit their health needs. The Safeway Foundation is funding the project.
