UC Regents have reluctantly curtailed freshman fall enrollment and at their May meeting will consider a fee increase
UC received the highest number of applicants in its history for the fall freshman class. With a $413 million shortfall in state support, UC accepted 1,477 fewer freshmen than last year. Yet the university maintained access across all student groups, and 72 percent of Californians who applied received admissions offers.
