UC campuses share budget pain
UC campuses are collectively absorbing 40 percent of the more than $800 million state funding gap UC is facing. At the July Regents’ meeting, chancellors testified about the impact the cuts will have on faculty hiring, class size, number of courses offered and delivery of services to students. Chancellors described the drastic cuts already made and how they will absorb their share of the $813 million two-year state funding cut UC faces.
