UC issuing bonds for capital projects
Bond issues totaling nearly $1.4 billion will create construction jobs throughout the state and complete badly needed building projects already under way at UC campuses. The bulk of the bond sale falls under the federal stimulus program’s Build America Bonds, which will subsidize 35 percent of UC’s qualifying interest costs.
