Research Compliance Advisory Committee
The systemwide Research Compliance Advisory Committee (RCAC) is charged with:
- Developing a strategic plan for systemwide research compliance coordination;
- Developing systemwide risk assessment tools for campus use in identifying and mitigating high risk areas in campus research;
- Preparing guidance documents, education materials, and training courses for University researchers on research compliance subjects;
- Monitoring the regulatory environment as it relates to the research enterprise and make recommendations on compliance policies and best practices to be implemented by the University;
- Evaluating the effect of new legislation on research compliance practices; and
- Monitoring and reporting on national research compliance practices.
The Committee includes representatives with knowledge, experience and responsibility for research compliance at the Campuses and at the Office of the President.
