The health sciences bring unique challenges to the area of research compliance in the University setting. To facilitate compliance in this area, a systemwide workgroup has been formed to discuss important issues related to such topics as clinical trial billing, electronic medical records, HIPAA authorizations, auditing and monitoring activities, education and training, policies and procedures, and inspections that affect and influence the Medical Centers, Schools of Medicine, and Campus operations.
