California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education
The Spring 2006 California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education drew over 1,200 prospective graduate students from the University of California, the California State University, and private and independent colleges and universities throughout Southern California.
Participants were diverse and well qualified for graduate work. Over half (56 percent) of the attendees were first-generation college students, and 85 percent of the student attendees had a GPA of 3.0 or better (42 per cent of participants had a GPA above 3.5). The University of California will host the next five scheduled foums: UC Santa Barbara (spring 2007); UC Davis (fall 2007); UC Irvine (spring 2008); UC Berkeley (fall 2008); and UC Santa Cruz (2009).
