UC Diversity Educators

The UC Diversity Educators (UCDE) is a group of diversity professionals from all UC locations who began meeting in 2005. Its vision is to enrich the diversity education programs of UC campuses, medical centers, and laboratories, and to strengthen its ability to advocate for diversity education and training as a way to promote equality and inclusion.

The group intends to develop ongoing collaboration by sharing ideas and research, and exchanging education resources across the UC system. The goals of UCDE are as follows:

  • To expand the UC system wide network of diversity educators;
  • To increase best practices in UC/nationwide diversity education; and
  • To improve UCDE training/professional development and expertise.

Co-chairs of the UC Diversity Educators are Edith Ng and Adrienne Sims.
