Departmental Requirements — UC Santa Cruz

Music

Fall-quarter freshman applicants must submit an audition cassette or CD to the Music Department no later than January 31, 2007. Admission to the program is contingent upon a student’s official acceptance to UC Santa Cruz. The audition tape or CD will also be used for scholarship consideration.

The Jack Baskin School of Engineering

For freshman applicants, acceptance into an Engineering major is based on high school grade point average, test scores, courses completed in mathematics and sciences, and the personal statement. Applicants who are not accepted into the major as freshmen may enter as a proposed engineering major and apply for admission to the major after completing the required foundation courses at UC Santa Cruz.

The foundation courses required for admission to SoE majors, and details of the admission process, are described on the SoE undergraduate advising website.
