Transfer Admission Programs — UC Riverside

Community College Transfer Recruitment

UCR offers a variety of services for prospective transfer students. The Office of Undergraduate Recruitment—Transfer Services provides assistance with academic planning and admission counseling. UCR transfer counselors regularly visit local community colleges and conduct transfer advising. They are also available to meet on the UCR campus or to talk by e-mail or telephone. Prospective students can mail or fax copies of their transcripts to the office for evaluation. UCR maintains articulation agreements with community colleges throughout the state. These agreements are available at the community colleges, at the Transfer Services office and on the ASSIST website.

The Transfer Link Mentor Program matches prospective students with  current UCR transfer students. Transfer Link Mentors can answer questions about campus life and academic opportunities and services available, as well as provide peer support to incoming students.

The Transfer Admission Guarantee is available for all majors in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, the majors of Computer Science and Information Systems in the Bourns College of Engineering, and all majors in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.

This program will be phased out and TAGs wil be made available to students at any California Community colleege by the fall 2009 application cycle. For more informatin, see uctransfer.org/transfer_admis_guar.html.
