Departmental Requirements

Some colleges and schools have special application requirements or screening procedures for students applying to certain majors and programs of study. For example, a student who is applying as a fine arts major may be required to submit a portfolio or audition as part of the application process. Another program may require the student to complete a special application form. Other special application and screening procedures pertain to prerequisite coursework, test scores, grade point average and class level.

In general, students who transfer to the University at the junior level are expected to have completed most, if not all, of the lower division coursework required in their major. For specific coursework required, refer to the campus General Catalogs.

Students interested in any of the programs discussed in this section should be advised of the special requirement and encouraged to contact the appropriate school or college for additional information.

Use the links at left to review specific departmental requirements at each campus.
