Several of the University of California campuses
— including programs from Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San

health care services to San Joaquin Valley residents and training
medical professionals in the Valley. About 40 to 50 percent of the
doctors trained locally stay in the area to practice.

school admission and to prepare Latino physicians for the study
of Latino primary-care health issues.
