One of California House’s benefits is the opportunity to connect UC’s international alumni and friends with each other nearly 3,000 UC alumni in Britain and other parts of Europe and with UK academic, industrial and governmental communities. As part of this international outreach effort, the Alumni Associations of the University of California (AAUC) and the University of California Trust (UK) hosted a special event for alumni and friends of the University on June 26 at Spencer House in London. Roddy Gow of the British-American Business Inc. spoke on British-California relations. The first University of California Trust (UK) Award for contributions to Anglo-California academic excellence was given to Professor John Heilbron, Senior Fellow at Oxford University.
