The University of California Trust (UK) invites UC Education Abroad Programme students studying in the United Kingdom during 2008-09 to apply for grants from the Melanie Woiwode Memorial Scholarship Fund. Typical costs that the grant can cover are:
- Training/coaching fees
- Insurance
- Team Equipment
- Travel Expenses
- Joining and match fees
- Sports related projects

The grants committee requests that students may submit applications at any time during the academic year but encourages applications as early as possible within the academic year (optimally by 15 November 2008). The fund’s grants committee will make awards monthly.
