Correlate to an information request from the San Francisco Chronicle, and consistent with the university’s commitment to transparency and public accountability, the University of California is releasing today a report and a preliminary analysis of its 2005-06 payroll. This information, along with payroll data for UC senior management, is available online at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/compensation/

Payroll data for all other employees will be immediately available to the public in hard copy at the UC Office of the President in Oakland and at the UC Office of State Governmental Relations in Sacramento, and by November 14, 2006, in each of the UC campus libraries.
