| Back FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE UC announces Sautter awards for information technology innovations The University of California announced the 2007 Larry L. Sautter Award recipients, recognizing information technology innovations, at the UC Computing Services Conference held at UC’s Santa Cruz campus today (July 30). Kristine Hafner, UC’s systemwide associate vice president for information resources and communications, said five awards were presented this year: Golden Award for Best IT Practices in Business Processes and Services
Golden Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Information Technology
Silver Awards for Achievement in University Computing
Sponsored by the UC Information Technology Leadership Council, the Sautter awards recognize information technology innovations that have the potential to improve UC administrative or academic processes. These innovative projects involve the use of technology rather than research, improve business processes or deliver academic or programmatic materials, and advance UC’s mission of teaching, research and public service. In selecting the award winners, emphasis is given to projects that are unique, user-friendly, cost-effective, collaborative and easily transferable to other UC campuses.
