This is a Notice of Special Meetings of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, July 20, and Thursday, July 21. They will take place during the board's regular business meeting to be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco. All times below are estimates.

On Wednesday (July 20), at 12:45 p.m., concurrent with lunch, the regents' nominating committee is scheduled to meet in closed session to consider standing committee and advisory committee assignments [Education Code §92032(e)].

At 4:10 p.m., the regents' committees on educational policy and finance are scheduled to meet in closed session to discuss and act on an appointment of and compensation for an executive vice provost and vice president?academic affairs at the UC Office of the President. [Education Code §92032(b)(7)].

Concurrent with the 4:15 p.m. session, the full board will meet in closed session to act on the appointment of an executive vice provost and vice president--academic affairs at the UC Office of the President.

On Thursday (July 21), concurrent with the 10:30 a.m. session, the board will meet in open session to ratify the board's approval to submit a responsive proposal to the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration for the management and operation of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and to act on compensation for an executive vice provost and vice president--academic affairs at the UC Office of the President.

Also, on Tuesday, July 19, at 6:30 p.m., a special meeting has been set of the Special Committee to Consider the Selection of a Treasurer and Vice President of Investments at 500 Post St., San Francisco, for the purpose of considering matters pertaining to the selection of a treasurer and vice president. This meeting will be held in closed session [Education Code section 92032(b)(7)].
