The Grounds and Buildings and Audit committees of the University of California Board of Regents will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Price Center on the UC San Diego campus ( Myers Dr. off Gilman Dr.).
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with public comment, followed by open session.
In the open session, the grounds and buildings committee will consider action on budget and capital improvements approval for housing at the San Diego and Santa Barbara campuses, the UC San Diego Medical Center Cardiovascular Center and Thornton Hospital expansion, UC Irvine’s Social and Behavioral Sciences Building, and seismic and program improvements for UC Berkeley’s Doe Library , as well as environmental and design approvals for the UC Riverside materials science and engineering building.
Discussion items include preliminary design review of the UC San Diego Medical Center Cardiovascular Center and Thornton Hospital expansion and a preliminary review of Southeast Campus Integrated Projects on the UC Berkeley campus as well as a presentation of the annual report on UC’s Green Building, Clean Energy and Sustainable Transportation Policy.
The audit committee, which will convene following the completion of the grounds and buildings committee, will consider action on the appointment of the Regents’ external auditor and discuss the University’s Human Resources Accreditation and Policy Assurance Program.
