The University of California Regents' Committee on Grounds and Buildings will meet in open session on Tuesday, July 18, at the UC San Francisco-Mission Bay campus' community center, 1675 Owens St., in San Francisco.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. with public comment, followed by open session.
In the open session, the committee will consider action on budget and capital improvements approval for the UC San Diego Medical Center's cardiovascular center, Thornton Hospital expansion, and re-construction of the UC San Diego campus meeting center and chancellor's residence as well as environmental and design approvals for Step 3 of the UC Irvine Anteater Recreation Center. The regents will also consider action on the capital improvements budget and program for stem cell projects throughout the UC system and approval of the University's state capital improvements budget, which is being amended for consistency with the final 2006-07 state budget signed by the governor last week.
Discussion items include updates on the UC Berkeley seismic plan and implementation of the Cost Reduction Study recommendations.
