MEDIA ADVISORY: Additional location change for Regents’ committee meeting Tuesday

The University of California Regents’ Committee on Long Range Planning will meet in open session via teleconference on Tuesday, Oct. 23, to discuss University planning priorities. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., and last approximately two hours.

The Regents’ long-range planning committee will not include a UC San Diego teleconference location as a result of the campus closure due to poor air quality caused by regional wildfires. The James West Center on the UCLA campus has been added as a location.

Earlier today, we noted that the UC Berkeley location for the Regents’ long-range planning committee meeting has been moved to the Alumni House, and additional locations at UC Irvine and Victorville have been added.

Background material on the committee’s discussion of UC planning priorities is available online at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/regents/regmeet/sept07/l1.pdf.

Locations for the meeting now include:

- 1303 J St., Suite 410, Sacramento
- Mission Bay Community Center, Conference Room 1, UC San Francisco
- Cheadle Hall, Room 5123, UC Santa Barbara
- James West Alumni Center, UCLA
- Alumni House, Spieker Plaza, UC Berkeley
- 115 Aldrich Hall, UC Irvine
- 18374 Phantom St., Victorville
