WHAT
Political
scientists and an economist at the University of California, Berkeley,
will provide insights and perspectives on Kenya's presidential
election, its violent aftermath and the potential for peace.
The
event is hosted by UC Berkeley's Center for African Studies. Since the
disputed Dec. 27 re-election of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, clashes
led by rival political factions have caused the deaths of more than 750
people. More than a quarter of a million Kenyans have been forced from
their homes.
