The University of California announced today (March 25) that the agreement reached last week between UC and the California Nurses Association on a new multiyear contract was officially ratified by UC nurses.

Under the agreement, UC nurses will receive market-based wage increases and continue to receive the same high-quality health benefits as other UC employees.

The terms of the agreement will be in effect through Sept. 30, 2010, with wages, benefits and one other article open to each party in early autumn of 2008 and 2009.
