Beginning at 11 a.m., the audit committee will convene in closed session to discuss animal research protection litigation and an update on a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) investigation at UCLA.

The committee will then meet in open session to receive information about UC Riverside's audit and advisory services, a 2008-09 privacy update on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), a report on the loss prevention plan to reduce employment practices liability costs and an industry perspective on risk assessment, and to discuss the external quality assessment of systemwide internal audit activity and management of risk related to animal research protection.
