Committee sessions have been moved and added on the July 15-17 agenda for the regular business meeting of the University of California Board of Regents, to be held at the UC Santa Barbara campus. The revised agenda is available at http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/regents/regmeet/july08.html.
The meeting changes include:
The open session of the finance committee, which includes discussion of the university’s budget, has been moved from Thursday, July 17, to Wednesday, July 16.
The open sessions of the compensation and laboratory oversight committees have been moved from Wednesday to Thursday.
The educational policy committee will still meet on Wednesday and take up discussion of a freshman eligibility proposal at that time. Likewise, the regents’ long range planning committee will still meet on Thursday to hear President Yudof’s plans for an accountability framework for the university.
Two items have been added to the Regents’ agenda: appointment and compensation for a senior vice president for external relations, and a 2008-09 budget for the president emeritus. Both items will begin in closed-session discussion and then will be publicly disclosed and acted on in open session.
