After lunch, the finance and grounds and buildings committees will meet jointly to consider budget, design and environmental approvals for the new UCSF Mission Bay medical center facilities. The committees will also discuss a proposed UC-utilities' statewide energy partnership program for 2009-11 and the formulation of a new capital funding strategy for the university.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Regents will meet in closed session to consider legal, investment, real estate and personnel matters, including a discussion about the appointment and compensation of a new systemwide senior vice president for health sciences and services.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 18

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by an open session of the finance committee to consider approval of UC's final 2008-09 budget [if a state budget has passed], adoption of regulations for non-affiliates [members of the public who are not students, employees or affiliated with UC] on university property and action on a new UC Retirement Plan funding policy.
