This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, March 19, and Thursday, March 20, 2003. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco.

Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with public comment, followed by open sessions that will include an update on the university's 2002-03 mid-year budget cuts and the 2003-04 budget, action on the establishment of the 10th college at UC Santa Cruz, capital projects for the UC Davis medical center and parking and transportation improvements at UC Irvine. The Wednesday afternoon agenda will be held in closed session for the purpose of discussing personnel, investment and legal matters.

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with a closed session of the national laboratories oversight committee, followed by public comment at 9 a.m. and then open sessions of the national laboratories oversight, health services and educational policy committees. Discussion items will include updates on Los Alamos National Laboratory management issues and UC San Francisco medical center and medical school and a report by the educational outreach review panel.
