This is a Notice of Meeting of the Committee to Advise the University of California President on the Selection of a Director for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on Wednesday, March 18, at the Berkeley Lab's Perseverance Hall, from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 9 p.m.

At the meeting, the committee will convene concurrently in closed session with the regents' laboratory oversight committee to consider matters related to the appointment and employment of a new director [Education Code §92032(b)(7)].

The advisory committee includes five regents who also serve on the UC Board of Regents' Committee on Oversight of the Department of Energy Laboratories, which would constitute a quorum of the latter group. No laboratory oversight committee business will be considered at the meeting.

This notice is issued to comply with the state's pertinent open-meeting laws.
