The investment, investment advisory and audit committees of the University of California Board of Regents will meet by teleconference on Tuesday, Sep. 11, beginning with public comment at 1 p.m. The meeting agenda is available at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/regents/regmeet/sept11.html. Materials for the various agenda items will be available at this web site next week.

The teleconference locations for the public comment period are UCLA's James West Alumni Center; 777 S. California Ave., Palo Alto; 501 S. Alta Ave., Dinuba; 700 S. Flower St., Los Angeles; 3750 University Ave., Suite 610, Riverside; and 1 Copenhill Place, Altanta.

The joint investment and investment advisory committee open session is scheduled to begin at approximately 1:20 p.m., with teleconference locations at UCLA's James West Alumni Center; 777 S. California Ave., Palo Alto; and 1 Copenhill Place, Atlanta.

The investment committee will consider approval of real assets investment guidelines and real assets in the UC Retirement Plan and General Endowment Pool asset allocation. The committees will discuss the quarterly investment performance summary, conflict of interest policy and an overview of fiduciary responsibilities for new investment committee members, real assets strategy and recommendations, a review of the real estate program, an update of the absolute return strategies market, and the pension / endowment asset allocation process.

The audit committee is scheduled to begin in open session at approximately 3 p.m., with teleconference locations at UCLA's James West Alumni Center; 501 S. Alta Avenue, Dinuba; 700 S. Flower St., Los Angeles; and 3750 University Ave., Suite 610, Riverside.

The committee will discuss an update on Ethics Briefing and Conflict of Interest Programs, a Report on New University Policy on Educational Loan Practices, presentations of local programs by the UC Berkeley and UCLA audit directors, a procedure for appointing an outside expert to the Regents' audit committee, and 2007-08 agenda input from the audit committee.
