The University of California Board of Regents will hold its regular business meeting Tuesday, Nov. 17, through Thursday, Nov. 19, at Covel Commons on the UCLA campus. The Regents will be briefed on a variety of issues over the three-day meeting, including finances and efforts to reopen the Martin Luther King Hospital in Los Angeles County. On Wednesday, UC Vice President Patrick Lenz will brief the Finance Committee on the development of the 2010-11 budget in light of the persistent state budget crisis. In that context, Regents will consider increasing student fees and also the level of financial assistance for needy low- and middle-income students.
On Thursday, the Regents' Health Services Committee will consider a presentation from Senior Vice President John Stobo regarding reopening Martin Luther King Hospital.

News vans: Charles E. Young Drive West, just south of Deneve Drive, west side of the street only. Map, C3. Use north campus entrance, Sunset Boulevard at Westwood Plaza and turn right on Charles E. Young Drive North. Look for parking enforcement officer at first stop sign.
Spillover news van parking: Designated spots on east curb in front of Deneve Commons. Map, C4. Use west campus entrance at Gayley and Strathmore and turn left on Charles E. Young Drive West, then left at first stoplight.
Passenger vehicles: Lot 4. Map, E4. Use north campus entrance, Sunset Boulevard at Westwood Plaza. The parking fee is $10.
Note: Charles Young Drive West is closed to traffic between Deneve Drive and Charles Young Drive North.
