DATE:
Thursday, May 3
TIME:
3:30 to 5 p.m.
LOCATION:
6533 Adobe Circle Road, Verano Place Housing, on the UCI campus
BACKGROUND:
While UCI currently has six child-care centers--more than any other UC campus--the demand for child care at the campus is expected to escalate as enrollment increases significantly over the next several years. The centers provide child care to 455 children ages 3 months to 12 years and are open to UCI students, faculty and staff as well as alumni and the community. The new Extended Day Child-Care Center, scheduled for completion by December, will include a number of places reserved for children of UCI students receiving state subsidies for child care.

Each of the UCI child-care centers is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
