As previously announced, The Regents of the University of California will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday by telephone conference call for the purpose of considering the appointment of and compensation for the chancellor of the Riverside campus.
The audio of the open-session portion of the meeting now WILL be available on the Internet. This means that reporters wishing to hear the call will not need to travel to location where a Regent is participating, though they are still welcome to do so if they wish. Details about the meeting, including instructions for listening over the Internet and locations for those attending in person, are available here.
In addition, at 4:45 p.m. following The Regents' action, a second telephone conference call has been scheduled to allow reporters to speak with the new chancellor. Reporters may participate in this second conference call from any location with a telephone. (Use of cellular phones is discouraged due to the background noise they tend to pick up.)
