This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Wednesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 16, 2002. This regular business meeting of the board will be held at Covel Commons on the UCLA campus.

Wednesday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed by open session of the full board at 8:45 a.m. Agenda items for the Wednesday open sessions include a discussion of admissions tests and a report on the Eligibility in the Local Context program. The Wednesday afternoon agenda will be conducted in closed session for the purpose of discussing personnel, property and investment matters.

Thursday's meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with public comment, followed at 8:55 a.m. by a joint session of the Committees on Grounds and Buildings and Finance in open session. The Thursday sessions will include a report on the status of the 2002-03 state budget and consideration of domestic-partners retirement benefits.
