Each UC campus offers unique perspectives, research pursuits, renowned scholars, exceptional students, and diverse lifestyles - and it would take more than a lifetime to experience it all. UCTV makes this lofty goal a bit easier with its new magazine-style program "State of Minds." Hosted by veteran journalist George Strait, "State of Minds" is a 30-minute show that explores the many exciting developments, personalities, and pursuits that make the University of California one of the nation's finest research universities. UCTV will air the program on Sunday, October 19 at 5:00PM and 8:00PM (all times Pacific), and at additional times throughout the month. Visit www.uctv.tv/schedule.asp for complete program schedule.
The debut episode of this UC-wide series kicks off with a feature story about incoming UC president Bob Dynes, as well as segments highlighting the UC Natural Reserve System, the groundbreaking work of UC Berkeley paleontologist Tim White, UCLA's state-of-the-art replacement hospital designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei and son Didi, and an innovative car-share program in California's Bay Area. Stay tuned for more episodes of "State of Minds" throughout the year!
