ANNUAL UC DAVIS “RUN AGAINST PAIN� WILL RAISE FUNDS FOR PAIN RESEARCH AND TREATMENT
WHAT:
"Run Against Pain," a benefit event to support the UC Davis Division of Pain Medicine

UC Davis Medical Center at the corner of 45th and X streets
BACKROUND:
Entrants may participate in a 10K or 5K run/walk, or a half-mile run for children. Children 9 and under start at 8:10 a.m, while children ages 10-12 begin at 8:20 a.m. The 10K and 5K run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
Registration is $23 for adults and $15 for children before April 19. Entry forms are available at Sacramento area Fleet Feet stores. An entry form also may be downloaded from the Web site and returned by mail.
Participants may also register online at http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/pain. Online registration ends at 12 a.m. of Wednesday, April 21.
Registration is also available on race day for $30, starting at 7 a.m.
Participants can avoid race day crowds by picking up their race packets at Fleet Feet Sports, 2311 J St., Sacramento, on Friday, April 23. Fleet Feet will also accept late registrations that day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Prize money will be awarded to top finishers. All participating children will receive medals. The first 1,000 participants will receive a T-shirt and a special gift.
The event will include a festival, entertainment and refreshments. Deirdre Fitzpatrick, KCRA Channel 3 news anchor, will serve as race master of ceremonies.
