The latest edition of University of California Television's (UCTV) signature magazine program "State of Minds," anchored for the first time from the UCLA campus, premieres October 18 at 9pm (Pacific) and features segments from UCLA, UC Davis, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, and UC Riverside.
Host Linda Schacht reports from UCLA with features on UCLA's Terence Tao, the "Mozart of Math" who was recently awarded the coveted Fields Medal; the champion collegiate cycling team at UC Davis; a new air cargo explosives detection program from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory that is now being tested at the San Francisco International Airport; and "Mayapatapi," an Andean musical ensemble at UC Riverside.
