The eighth annual Tamkin Symposium -- "Health Care for All: Is the Dream Possible?" -- will explore the possibilities for universal health care in the United States. Keynote speaker is Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.

BACKGROUND:
Today's cost of health care is extremely high (unaffordable for many), and most Americans believe the nation is experiencing a health care crisis. This year's conference will examine the possibilities for universal health care in the U.S. Participants will have an opportunity to meet and discuss the controversial issues surrounding universal health care with distinguished guest speakers, including Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, chair of the Sullivan Commission and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, who will deliver the keynote address.
