Since the early 1970s, Lot has been the principal photographer for the Comédie-Française -- France's major national theater company and, founded in 1680, the oldest continually operating theater in the world. In her career, Lot has photographed hundreds of theatrical productions for dozens of companies in Europe. In the past three years, four books of her performance photographs have been published, including "Monstres Sacrés, Sacrés Comédiens" (2003), her photographs of France's stars of the stage featured in this exhibition and lecture.
