UCI Women's Cancer Symposium to Address Latest Research, Prevention and Treatment Methods

WHAT:
The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Newkirk Center for Science and Society at UC Irvine are hosting "A Symposium on Women's Cancer," which will feature speakers providing insights into cutting-edge research, treatment and prevention methods and the issues that still need to be addressed.

BACKGROUND:
The UCI symposium program will address various topics related to women's cancer, ranging from insights about lung and ovarian cancer to the latest in research and treatment. Seven cancer researchers and doctors from Orange County will be the featured speakers, with welcoming remarks by Dr. Philip DiSaia, director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
