This is a Notice of Meeting of the University of California Board of Regents on Thursday, April 3, 2003, 9 a.m. to noon. This meeting, to be held via teleconference, has been scheduled as a result of the cancellation of the regular business meeting of March 19-20 due to concerns about travel safety at the outbreak of the war in Iraq.
The April 3 meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with public comment, followed by a closed session on legal, personnel and investment matters (tentatively scheduled for 9:25-9:35 a.m.) and then open sessions that will include updates on the university's 2002-03 mid-year budget cuts and the 2003-04 budget and management issues at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Please note that the May 14-15 regular Board of Regents meeting, originally scheduled to convene in Los Angeles, will be held at the UC San Francisco-Laurel Heights campus, 3333 California St., in San Francisco.
