This is a Notice of Meeting of the UC Regents' Committee on Oversight of the Department of Energy Laboratories and the Committee to Advise the President on the Selection of a Chancellor of the Berkeley campus on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Joseph Wood Krutch Theatre on UC Berkeley's Clark Kerr campus (2601 Warring St).

The closed-session meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. At the meeting, the committees will convene concurrently to consider matters related to the appointment and employment of a new UC Berkeley chancellor [Education Code § 92032(b)(7)].

The two committees are meeting concurrently because the advisory committee includes five regents who also serve on the laboratory oversight committee, which would constitute a quorum of the latter group. Although no lab oversight committee business will be considered at the meeting, this notice is served to comply fully with pertinent open meeting laws.
