2003-04 Eligibility and Admissions Study Group

In October 2003, UC President Robert C. Dynes appointed a broadly based study group to focus on an array of eligibility and admissions issues facing the University. The group met several times and concluded its deliberations in March 2004.

Under UC's admissions policy adopted by the Regents in November 2001, campuses use a process called "comprehensive review,"by which UC-eligible students are assessed based on their academic and personal achievements, taking into consideration the opportunities available at their schools. Eligibility to attend UC is determined by grades (GPA), SAT II scores and SAT I or ACT scores, weighted in that order.

Rather, the document is based upon data supplied by the University and is intended to be followed by further study.
