Scientists Explain Formation of Stone Circles in Northern Regions
Stone circles and other unusual patterns in remote northern regions of the globe have long mystified observers and prompted considerable speculation. Providing scientific reasons for this phenomenon is UCSC researcher Mark Kessler, whose findings are reported in the January 17 issue of the journal Science. "These landscapes are so amazing, it's the kind of thing that really calls out for an explanation," he said.
