University of California, Davis scientists say the California state insect, the California dogface butterfly, is rarely seen in nature and rarely recognized. The R. M. Bohart Museum of Entomology wants to change that with a just published, one-of-a-kind poster showcasing the state insect. It's all part of educational and conservation outreach.
