Information about the statewide ballot

A statewide election will be held in California on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. For a list of candidates and propositions on the ballot, please visit the Secretary of State's web site.

Voter information
The last day to register to vote for the general election is Tuesday, Jan. 22. Registered voters may request a vote-by-mail ballot from the county elections office up until one week prior to Election Day. On Election Day, voters may cast their ballot in person at their polling place, which will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
