Dynes' Desk

Communication is important to me, and I believe to the University’s ongoing success. If you have an idea, concern, suggestion, or view that you’d like to share with me, I invite you to do so using the form below.

While I cannot respond to every message individually, I will address issues of broad concern through Our University newsletter, periodic web chats, and other means of communication.

You may either submit this form electronically or print it out and send me your written comments at:

President's Desk
UC Office of the President
1111 Franklin St., 12th floor
Oakland, CA 94607-5200

In some instances, sharing your comments may help solve a problem, answer a question, or promote the consideration of a new idea. Therefore, I may want to pass along your message to others who have more detailed knowledge of a particular subject area.

Lastly, if this is strictly a personal matter or one that requires immediate attention, I encourage you to get in touch with your supervisor or other appropriate local administrator.

Thanks for sending me your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Topic
(economy, state budget, salaries,
health benefits, etc.)

Note:  The California Public Records Act generally requires the University of California to make available to the public, upon request, any communication received by the University about University-related matters.  If such a request is made for communications sent to the President of the University on a specific topic, the University will make an effort, to the extent permitted by law, to protect individuals' identities by removing any information that will serve to identify them.
