Bruce Hallett is co-founder of Miramar Venture Partners, a venture capital firm working with California technology companies. He received his B.A. degree from the University of California, Irvine and his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to founding Miramar, he served as lead counsel to high-growth technology companies, venture capitalists and investment banks.  In 1999, Mr. Hallett was recognized as one of the region’s leading technology lawyers and was selected by the State Bar as one of the 100 most influential attorneys in California. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Hallett chaired UCI’s Chief Executive Roundtable, a group of business leaders committed to building strategic partnerships between the university and the community.  He serves on the board of directors of OCTANe, an alliance of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and universities to drive innovation and accelerate the growth of the technology business in Southern California.  He is also a member of UCI’s Dean’s Leadership Council for the School of Biological Sciences. He serves as Alumni Regent and AAUC President for a one-year term commencing July 1, 2011.
